I asked if I cancelled if I could get a full refund and they said yes, if I cancelled by 10 pm. I understand having no other rooms, but while I was standing there waiting for the employees I looked up and found several other very nice hotel chains for $90-110 a night. I normally wouldn’t mind but I was paying $189 for the first night and $359 for the second night!! Ridiculous! When I went back to the front desk they said they could cut $60 off the second night but that was it because they had no other rooms and they couldn’t budge on the price otherwise. We went to the hotel and room and it was a tiny cheap crappy room in a tiny cheap crappy motel.
She told me to go check it out and if there were any problems then let them know. If by rustic she meant a cheap run-down motel then she was right. I asked the front desk if it was okay and she said “it’s rustic”. The woman who I had booked with said nothing about it being a cheap two story run-down motel that they had converted to “resort rooms”. I had booked a while back on the phone with the resort and they had said it was detached from the casino but that’s about it so I said yes. Upon arrival the front desk asked if I knew I was staying in “the lodge”. We had viewed photos online of the resort and rooms and it looked beautiful. She flew in from Arizona and I drove down from Iowa. My friend and I decided to meet up to attend a concert at Choctaw Casino and Resort.
